Marielle Rutherford has an in-depth understanding of green design
through her extensive background in the field of energy-consious design
and urban planning. She completed her graduate thesis in the area of
Daylighting and worked as Staff Scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley
Laboratory, Applied Science Division, Energy Performance in Buildings
Group. She published several technical papers on the relationship of
energy use and thermal mass, window and daylight apertures, building
orientation in different micro climates as well as evaluating occupant
patterns in buildings designed to save energy through various passive
solar methods throughout the United States.
